Welcome 2014 +DIY Bubbly Bar

Happy New Year, all! I hope your 2014 is off to a wonderful start. Mak and I celebrated New Year’s Eve surrounded by dear friends at our home and I wanted to share the details to this cute, little Bubbly Bar I put together for the occasion.

The chalkboard sign was an essential part to let guests know they can help themselves. The festive gold glitter frame was a nice touch that played into the traditional “gold & black” NYE party look.

I used a vintage-style bar cart, which was the perfect size. It also offered a bottom “shelf” for the bubbly & bucket plus the glasses. The top of the bar cart housed the fun toppings and mixers!

2

I offered orange juice, pomegranate juice, pear nectar and St. Germain elderflower liqueur mixers. Guests could add toppings of pomegranate arils, fresh blackberries, sprigs of rosemary or swizzle sticks! The combos were fun to create. My personal favorite – Pear Nectar + St. Germain + Blackberries + Rosemary & topped with bubbly.

The mixers worked perfectly in carafes purchased at Target. I drew kraft paper labels decorated with washi tape and attached them to the necks of the carafes with baker’s twine.ย  Cocktail napkins and cute straws completed the display. Oh, and fun tissue paper decorations hanging from the ceiling!

I also created super cute confetti cocktails! I used The Confetti Bar’s “cheers” confetti plus a few gold Christmas ornaments. Simple and pretty.

Cheers to you all for a happy, healthy, successful 2014!
