For the Pretty Ordinary series, we’re documenting snapshots of our week that may not be the prettiest or the most interesting, but we enjoyed each instance and want to remember them! These are the behind-the-scenes, in-between moments – the small peeks that would otherwise be forgotten. Join us as we use this series to scrapbook the unedited, memorable happenings at Lily & Val and what is inspiring our team!
1. “Even though we haven’t even officially started Fall, I loved walking into one of our Wholesale customers, The Artsmiths of Pittsburgh, and seeing our Christmas cards on display!” -Maureen
2. “I’m loving these late summer/early fall days! The trail behind my house provides such beautiful scenery while my dog and I get some exercise.” -Maureen
3. “I made a visit to my parent’s house over the weekend and snapped this photo of our dog, Jasmine. She is a pure-bred Jack Russell terrier. She’s lost a lot of the typical-Jack-Russell-spunk in her old age, but she’s still as cute as ever. I love her!” -Valerie
4. “I received the most gorgeous candle from a dear friend on my birthday! It has the most beautiful bronze container and I felt so fancy putting on my bookshelf! It also smells amazing!” – Emily
5. “I met with my book club last week and the host has such a beautiful spread of fresh picked produce on her porch, I just had to get a picture of it!” – Emily
6. “If I could sum up this past week in one word it would probably be – painting! L&V Merchandising Director Emily and I spent many long nights in the Lily & Val Flagship Store painting furniture to get ready for our big grand opening! Lots of coffee was involved!” – Valerie
7. “A fun, wall planning session in the Lily & Val Flagship Store! The marble countertop is part of the L&V Print Bar that was installed this week.” – Valerie
8. “Everyone has been so patiently waiting for signed copies of The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering to return to lilyandval.com! They are coming soon! These signed copies will be available in the Flagship Store!” – Valerie
9. “I couldn’t resist buying these dried, Japanese lanterns for my Fall decor this year! I love how they look like mini pumpkins! They also remind me of my grandmother. She had one of these plants growing outside her house and I always thought they were the neatest things.” – Valerie
