Friends, this is one of those ideas that isn’t even really fair to call it a DIY. Truly, it’s more like an idea because it’s just SO simple. Despite that, I thought these gifts were really cute so I wanted to share. You guys know me and how I like easy gift wrap with just a little bit of a special touch! (This has mostly been born out of the fact that I tend to wait until the last minute to wrap and I have to get a bit creative.) Well, with Mother’s Day coming and shower season – here’s an idea you can pull out in a pinch!
You will need:
- Brown kraft paper
- Jute twine or ribbon of your choice
- Bits & pieces / odds & ends of faux flowers
Tips:
The two papers I always try to have on hand are: brown kraft paper and white kraft paper. I feel like if you have both of these, you are completely set for making beautiful gift wrapping for ANY occasion.
I also keep a random plastic box filled with ribbons and jute twine. If I have been gifted a present with a pretty ribbon, I will save it in my bin to reuse.
Lately, I’ve been creating a lot of faux floral arrangements for the new season and I always seem to be left with a few odds & ends when I’m done that I just don’t want to throw away, but I’m not sure how to use! I’m so glad I kept those little pieces though because adding them to gifts is the perfect way to not let them go to waste.
The brown kraft paper just works so well for this rustic, botanical wrapping. When you tie on your ribbon at the end, just add a little sprig or two and tie in a bow.
You could always affix a gift tag or add a bit of hand lettering to the package! In my opinion, there’s no need to complicate things- I like to letter right on the kraft paper!
