Happy Halloween, everyone! We’re looking forward to an evening of opening our doors to adorably dressed kiddos tonight! For those of you hosting trick-or-treaters or anyone who just wants a sweet treat this evening, we’re sharing one delicious caramel dip recipe with some extra fun mix-ins!
We discovered this amazing caramel dip recipe from So Festive on Pinterest!
Caramel Dip Ingredients:
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup real butter
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 8 oz sour cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
Melt together butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt over medium heat- boil for 7 minutes and stir constantly so it doesn’t burn. After boiling, reduce heat to low and add in condensed milk and vanilla. Cook for 5 more minutes.
Remove from the heat and let cool until warm. Stir in sour cream and cream cheese with a whisk to prevent clumps (you can also mix together sour cream and cheese before adding to the pot). Pour the dip into an air-tight container and store in the refrigerator.
This dip is so delicious and quick to make! It has just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess and is a lot easier to serve than whole caramel apples!
Because it’s Halloween and because we love to add in extra sweets, here are a few candy mix-ins to create three different dip versions. Each candy adds a bit of crunch and a different flavor that pairs perfectly with the caramel!
First, crush each candy into smaller pieces so that they combine easily with the caramel. Then, sprinkle it on top and serve with sliced apples!
Each dip was so delicious, I couldn’t stop taste-testing them! This recipe will be used for many future Fall parties- it’s so perfect! We hope you give it a try!
