In 2012 when I started a quirky little Etsy shop, I never imagined it would lead to a career creating art and doing what I love. I certainly wouldn’t have believed you if you told me that career would lead to writing a book. Once more, I never would have imagined that book leading to a 6-page spread in Martha Stewart Living Magazine! My heart feels like it could burst! I am honored, grateful and so excited to have this opportunity to share my hand lettering with MSL readers.
The article appears in the May issue and is called “How to Write a Letter.” I had the privilege of sharing some tips that will make hand lettering approachable for everyone! These new skills are especially perfect for addressing envelopes or personalizing gifts for Mom this Mother’s Day.
Visiting the Martha Stewart offices in New York City this past fall to conceptualize the article was such a dream and they were amazing to work with throughout the entire process. It’s thrilling to see the finished article! I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and I hope you enjoy reading it!
Be sure to pick up your copy of the May issue (available on newsstands now) to see the full article. It is filled with tips, tricks, and supply suggestions for getting started with hand lettering and using it to create heartfelt messages for those you love! I can’t wait to hear what you think!
