For this week’s Pretty Ordinary Friday #55, we’re documenting snapshots of our week. While our pictures may not be the prettiest or the most interesting, we enjoyed each instance and want to remember them! These are the behind-the-scenes, in-between moments – the small peeks that would otherwise be forgotten. Join us as we use this series to scrapbook the unedited, memorable happenings at Lily & Val and what is inspiring our team!
The team says:
1. “This week marked the 5 year anniversary of LIly & Val! It’s surreal and I’ve been feeling super nostalgic all week. In honor of the occasion, I decided to show the VERY first chalkboard I drew. This is the board that started it all! It’s somewhat cheesy and embarrassing to me, but it goes to show how important practice is! For those getting started in chalk lettering, you can totally do this.” –Valerie
2. “5th Birthday party details!! It was a great day celebrating in the office.” –Valerie
3. “My current favorite tea by Stash. I know, it says “Christmas in Paris”, but I think it’s great all year. The flavors combination is chocolate, vanilla, peppermint, and lavender! I love that my work mug from Anthropologie is Paris themed too.” -Valerie
4. “I am in love with the creativity of Flow Magazine and how they used my chalk art mixed with photos for this article!” -Valerie
5. “Obligatory flower post! Haha. I couldn’t help but snap a photo of these roses growing across the street from my house. The color!!!!” -Valerie
6. “Another great group of gals in the Lily & Val Flagship Store for Chalk Lettering Techniques class! They all did an amazing job!” -Valerie
7. “This week we re-did the window at the Lily & Val Flagship Store for Father’s Day. I used chalk ink markers to draw the design right onto the glass. Aren’t the facial hair cut-outs Emily did so fun?” -Valerie
8. “The team all gathered around for Story Time!” -Alivia
9. “Dream desserts throwback from our trip to NY!” -Alivia
10. “Kids enjoying a lesson on Van Gogh at the MET! My heart is so full!” -Alivia
11. “Love the crosswalk makeover on Ellsworth Avenue for Pittsburgh Pride!” -Julie
12. “A new human is joining our home – better make room for tiny spoons!” -Julie
