Happy Thanksgiving week! In honor of Small Business Saturday 2014, we are sharing our holiday wish lists from some of our favorite small businesses and makers. We hope it inspires you to shop small this holiday season! Up first, L&V Shop Assistant, Emily’s picks.
1. Style Icon Stevie Nicks Print, Emma Block
I love how fun and cool this print is! Emma really sums up what makes Stevie Nicks such a style icon. Other stars of this artist’s Style Icon series include Audrey Hepburn, Twiggy, and Brigitte Bardot.
2. Calligraphy Address Stamp, Foryoo
Handwriting letters to loved ones is something I try to do on a weekly basis. I love snail mail and try my best to keep it in the present! I always forget to put the return address, so a cool stamp would make it functional and so pretty!
3. Love is the Reason Ornament, mudLOVE
MudLOVE actually is based in my hometown, and they have great handmade clay bracelets, mugs and more. These ornaments are new and I think they are so pretty and rustic. The cool thing about MudLOVE is that your purchases also help support clean water projects for people in Africa.
4. Personalized Gold Bar Bracelet, Long and Layered
Dainty and simple is my favorite kind of jewelry! The fact that you can also personalize it with your favorite quote or scripture verse is a big plus!
5. Snow Drift Tassel Garland, PaperFox LA
Once I found Paperfox LA, I couldn’t stop thinking about how beautiful and sparkly their tassel garlands were! Once I nail down my favorite color scheme, one of these lovelies is going up in my bedroom!
6. Swaying Palms Pillow, Pillowtime Girls
I stumbled across this palm-printed pillow and then discovered that the rest of the Pillowtime Girls’ expansive collection! Some prints are classic and some, a bit quirky- my favorite!
7. New Wave Tee, Sincerely Jules
Sincerely Jules started as a blog and now has also become a small shop that sells t-shirts designed by the blogger herself! I have so many of her t-shirts and love them because they are so unique and cool.
8. Gold Bar Studs, RecocoNYC
Another piece to add to my minimalist jewelry collection. Recoco NYC has such great pieces that are simple and well made. The price isn’t so bad, either!
9. Pont Neuf Paris Print, The Paris Print Shop
When you fall for Paris, you just can’t forget it. After studying abroad there, my eye catches anything that has to do with the city. I love that this print has a touch of art deco, and the colors are trés chic!
10. Dopp Kit, Spicer Bags
I am in desperate need of a makeup bag! Spicer Bags creates all of their products by hand and I think that is amazing. The prints and the cool leather strap definitely persuaded me to put it on my list!
