Pretty Ordinary gives you a sneak peek into Lily & Val behind the scenes! On Lily & Val Living!

For this week’s Pretty Ordinary Friday #78, we’re documenting snapshots of our week. While our pictures may not be the prettiest or the most interesting, we enjoyed each instance and want to remember them! These are the behind-the-scenes, in-between moments – the small peeks that would otherwise be forgotten. Join us as we use this series to scrapbook the unedited, memorable happenings at Lily & Val and what is inspiring our team!

Lily & Val Presents: Pretty Ordinary Friday #78 with Mixbook Holiday card collaboration, Flow Magazing feature and lamb's ear Christmas trees

1. “My Mixbook photo cards and matching return address labels came in! I’m excited to send these this year!” – Valerie

2. “I never tire of seeing my work in Flow Magazine! This one was spotted at Barnes & Noble! Love the quote, too.” – Valerie

3“I made the cozy DIY Lamb’s Ear Cone trees we posted a few weeks ago! What a fun & simple DIY! Love it.” – Valerie

Lily & Val Presents: Pretty Ordinary Friday #78 with gorgeous sunsets, Keepsake Kitchen Diary on the go and handwritten memories in the KKD

4“I normally don’t even bother trying to take a photo of a sunset because the photo never does it justice (and this one really doesn’t either) but it was one of the most amazing sunsets I had ever seen in my life! I had to try.” – Valerie

5. “On my way to Thanksgiving dinner at my parent’s house with my Keepsake Kitchen Diary in tow. I had a list of recipes I wanted my Mom to fill out in her own handwriting.” – Valerie

6. “My Mom filling in the pages of my Keepsake Kitchen Diary with precious recipes and, of course, the memories that make them special. She has the most beautiful handwriting.” – Valerie

Lily & Val Presents: Pretty Ordinary Friday #78 with joyful chalk art, gluten, dairy and sugar free pumpkin pie and watercolor art

7. “I updated my kitchen chalkboard this week for Christmas!” – Valerie

8. “I’ve been on a pretty restrictive diet for some health reasons and I needed to follow it through Thanksgiving. I was worried about missing out on all my favorite, nostalgic dishes, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! So many friends on Instagram helped me with recipes and tips. Mak was so sweet and even made me this gluten, dairy, and sugar free pumpkin pie!” – Valerie

9. “Mak’s Mom is a professional watercolorist and while we were visiting her for Thanksgiving she and I had a painting day! I learned so much from her.” – Valerie
