For the Pretty Ordinary series, we’re documenting snapshots of our week that may not be the prettiest or the most interesting, but we enjoyed each instance and want to remember them! These are the behind-the-scenes, in-between moments – the small peeks that would otherwise be forgotten. Join us as we use this series to scrapbook the unedited, memorable happenings at Lily & Val and what is inspiring our team!
1. “A slice of Christmas in my home studio! The bottlebrush trees in Lily & Val colors are my favorite!” –Valerie
2. “McKeehan Christmas tree 2016! Gold & white details, plus lots of mercury glass! You can’t tell from the photo, but our lights even twinkle a bit. I love it.” –Valerie
3. “We got our Christmas tree this week! I never had a real tree growing up, but since Mak and I were married we now pick out a real tree! I love the tradition.” -Valerie
4. “Every year around Christmas Mak and I visit Hershey, PA. Going to Christmas Candylane at Hersheypark is a must! There’s something special about riding a ferris wheel while it’s cold and seeing all the park’s lights from that high up.” -Valerie
5. “I brought my daughter to the Lily & Val Flagship store for the first time this past weekend. She said “it was the most beautiful store she had ever seen.” She even went out on the sidewalk in front of the store and started yelling “Everyone come to the Lily & Val Store!” If it weren’t for child labor laws, I think she’d be a good addition to the team. ;)” -Maureen
6. “I got to make one of my favorite childhood crafts this week for an L&V blog post – salt dough ornaments! It also inspired me to invest in an apron…” -Kristin
7. “It finally feels like winter here in Pittsburgh, so I got to pull out all of my favorite blankets! I love the color and texture this season brings.” -Emily
8. “My boyfriend, my dad and I went to pick out a Christmas tree on Sunday. Soergel’s is the best place around for them by far. 💕” -Kristin
9. “Made these adorable little velvet bows the other day. They make me happy. Velvet. The End.” –Emily
