Behind the Scenes

Pretty Ordinary Friday #34

Pretty Ordinary gives you a sneak peek into Lily & Val behind the scenes! On Lily & Val Living!

For the Pretty Ordinary series, we’re documenting snapshots of our week that may not be the prettiest or the most interesting, but we enjoyed each instance and want to remember them! These are the behind-the-scenes, in-between moments – the small peeks that would otherwise be forgotten. Join us as we use this series to scrapbook the unedited, memorable happenings at Lily & Val and what is inspiring our team!

Chalk drawing of a refreshing Arnold Palmer, hand-painted flowers in ceramic bowls1. “I spent a lot of time in the studio this week working on new recipe designs! This is a peek of an Arnold Palmer recipe! Being that my family lives near Latrobe, this is appropriate.” Valerie

2. “Mak and I went to “Color Me Mine” for a fun date on Saturday night and painted these bowls! It was SO much fun to just play and create something without any pressure. I can’t wait to see what they look like once they’re “fired.”” –Valerie

Lily & Val Valentine Cards spotted at Target, photo shoot of a cozy setting at the office, The Gifts of Imperfection is a book you must read.3“Spotted at Target! The Valentine’s Day card I designed for Papyrus! It’s always a thrill to see L&V out and about.” -Valerie

4. “Probably my favorite behind-the-scenes photo from our “Cozy Shoot” in the office this week! Alivia was such a good sport being a foot model!” -Valerie

5. “For my last birthday, Mak gave me all of Brene Brown’s books and I am currently reading my first one, The Gifts of Imperfection. So much of what she says I needed to hear. She covers important topics like authenticity, belonging, joy, and fear. It’s a wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone!” -Valerie
