A holiday weekend means a whole lot of relaxing and a lot less time on our phones, but Val managed to find some pretty cool things over Memorial Day weekend!
For the Pretty Ordinary series, we’re documenting snapshots of our week that may not be the prettiest or the most interesting, but we enjoyed each instance and want to remember them! These are the behind-the-scenes, in-between moments – the small peeks that would otherwise be forgotten. Join us as we use this series to scrapbook the unedited, memorable happenings at Lily & Val and what is inspiring our team!
1. “Spotted in Lititz, PA – I LOVE the colors of this chalkboard. It makes me want to buy purple chalkboard paint and test it out with some pretty pastel-colored chalks. P.S. we bought the peach lemonade and it was amazing.” -Valerie
2. “Every Memorial weekend as part of our trip, we like to make it to Longwood Gardens! This is one of my absolute favorite places and I always feel inspired there. This wall of air plants in the Conservatory really struck me. That texture is beautiful!”
3. “Longwood Gardens has an entire Lilypad Garden and it is just the neatest thing to see. I am so inspired by these! I’m thinking an upcoming desktop download on the blog should include lilypads!”
Left “Over Memorial Weekend, Mak and I visited the small town of Lititz! We walked into the cutest bookstore there, Aaron’s Books, to see THIS! They used The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering to draw this chalkboard wall – just the day before! Seeing this makes me so happy and I love the sentiment too!” – Valerie
Right “We just released Summer Favorites in the shop today so I thought I’d share a behind-the-scenes look of it in the making! That completes the four-season favorites series.”
